Retail, from a single shop to a national chain, has been held together by spreadsheets, email and a few brilliant people with the whole business in their heads. We don’t think that’s a software problem any more. It’s an operating problem, and we’re building the operating system.
We kept meeting the same person: the owner, or the one brilliant buyer, holding a retail business together in their head and a stack of spreadsheets. When they took a holiday, ordering wobbled. When they left, it broke.
The tools meant to help hadn’t kept up. Older planners did the arithmetic but never the judgement. They handed you a number and walked away, so the judgement stayed manual, stayed in people’s heads, and stayed fragile.
So we built Stokk to do both: the arithmetic for every item in every store, every night, and a second pair of eyes on every line before an order goes out. On top of the ERP you already run, and explainable line by line. That’s the product. The rest of this site is us showing our work.
