Count continuously. Not once a year, in a panic.
Stokk's counting module turns any phone or handheld into a counting station. Guided counts walk staff through expected items; blind counts let them scan freely. Either way, it works offline and syncs the moment you're back on Wi-Fi.
Sits on top of your ERP. Reads stock, writes transactions, never duplicates the source of truth.
The annual stocktake is a tax nobody pays well.
Once-a-year counts mean inventory is wrong for 364 days. Spreadsheet counts get lost. Handheld terminals are expensive and break. Your stock count is the foundation of every other decision — it deserves better than a scramble.
- Guided counts: walk staff through expected items
- Blind counts: let staff scan freely, then reconcile
- Works offline, syncs when back online
- Camera-based barcode scanning, no extra hardware
- Submits adjustments to your ERP when finalised
Capabilities, in plain language.
Guided counts
Stokk presents an expected list per aisle, section or shelf. Staff scan and enter — discrepancies surface in real time.
Blind counts
No expected list. Scan freely, reconcile against the system at the end. Submit results to your ERP in one tap.
Truly offline
IndexedDB queue holds entries while offline. Auto-sync every 12 seconds when back online. No work lost, ever.
Phone-camera scanning
Multi-format barcode scanner (EAN, UPC, Code128). No handheld terminals, no per-device licences.
Continuous-count cycles
Schedule rolling counts by aisle, section, vendor or ABC class. Replace the yearly shutdown with a weekly rhythm.
ERP write-back
Adjustments submit to your ERP when the count is finalised — DK Plus today, more connectors rolling out.
Continuous counting in motion.
Offline-first means no work is ever lost. The cycle calendar replaces the yearly shutdown count with a weekly rhythm.
The numbers Stokk customers report after the first cycle.
After the first full ordering cycle, lost-sale events on A-classified items roughly halve.
Buyers stop building proposals from scratch. The Brief lands; they review and approve.
Stokk's per-store sizing and lateral transfers free cash that was sitting on a pallet.
Continuous, offline-capable counts replace the once-a-year shutdown count.
Counts that close the loop with the forecast.
Every count refreshes the live stock that the forecast and the Monday Brief depend on. Counts and decisions stop drifting from each other.
Stokk uses your count history to flag locations and SKUs with chronic shrinkage, and to weight the counting cycle toward the SKUs that actually matter.
How AI gets used here
Decisions stay explainable. Every recommendation has a written reason and a human approval step. Your data isn't used to train shared models. Claude's prompts are scoped per request.
Plays nicely with the systems you already pay for.
Common questions about this module.
Do we need handheld terminals?
No. Phones work. Bluetooth scanners pair if you prefer. Stokk's counting UI is built for both.
What happens if Wi-Fi drops mid-count?
Nothing. Entries queue locally in IndexedDB. When you're back online, the queue flushes automatically.
Can we run blind and guided counts in the same store?
Yes. Different teams can run different modes simultaneously, each scoped to their assigned aisle or section.
