Training · Staff onboarding, on their phones

Stop giving the same onboarding speech every month.

Stokk's Training module turns what you know into short card-deck lessons staff swipe through on their phones, on the floor. New hires scan a QR code and start learning on day one. You see who finished what, across every store.

The problem

Training lives in one person's head. Then that person is busy, or gone.

Retail turnover is constant. The binder never gets read, the owner repeats the same speech every month, and hard-won product knowledge walks out the door with every resignation. Training has to be something staff actually finish, on the device they already hold.

  • Short swipeable decks, finished in minutes on the floor
  • New hires join by scanning a QR code, no app install
  • Works for floor staff who never get a company email
  • Present mode for group sessions
  • Completion tracked per person, per deck, across stores
What's inside

Capabilities, in plain language.

Card-deck lessons

Short decks of swipeable cards: product knowledge, procedures, seasonal ranges, safety. Small enough to finish between customers.

Scan a QR code to join

A new hire scans the store's QR code and starts the first deck on day one. Staff with a Stokk login use that instead. Nothing to install.

You author, in Stokk

Write decks in the same place your products live. Update a deck once and every store trains on the new version.

Present mode

Run a deck on the big screen for a morning huddle, a group session or a seasonal range briefing.

Completion, tracked

Every person, every deck, every store. Managers see who finished what without asking around.

The roster lives in Stokk

Staff are on the Stokk roster, not in an email system. Training works for weekend staff and seasonal hires who never get a company address.

Behind the screen

A lesson in the hand, the overview in the office.

Staff swipe through decks between customers. Managers see completion across stores at a glance.

Returns

No receipt? Look the sale up by the card used, or refund to store credit.

Any till can search past sales. If in doubt, call a keyholder before refunding cash.

What changes

What the first full cycle changes.

Fewer
stockouts on top-selling SKUs

Ordering on a per-store forecast instead of gut means the A-items stop running dry first.

Hours back
every ordering day

Buyers stop building proposals from scratch. The brief lands; they review and approve.

Less cash
tied up in stock

Per-store sizing and lateral transfers free cash that was sitting on a pallet.

weeks → days
annual count cycle

Continuous counts replace the once-a-year shutdown count.

What the operating model changes, stated directionally rather than as audited figures. Impact varies with category mix, lead-time variability and data quality.

AI in this module

Knowledge written down beats knowledge walking out.

The point of Training is simple: what your best person knows should live in Stokk, not only in their head. Decks sit next to the product data they describe, in the same platform your floor already uses every day.

AI-assisted deck authoring is on the roadmap, drafting a product-knowledge deck from your own catalogue. Today, the win is that the knowledge is written down at all.

How AI gets used here

Decisions stay explainable. Every recommendation has a written reason and a human approval step. Your data isn't used to train shared models. Claude's prompts are scoped per request.

FAQ

Common questions about this module.

Do staff need to install an app?

No. Decks open in the phone browser. New hires scan a QR code to join; staff with Stokk logins are linked automatically.

What do people write decks about?

Product knowledge, opening and closing procedures, seasonal ranges, safety. Anything you're tired of explaining for the tenth time.

Can we run a group session?

Yes. Present mode puts the deck on a big screen for a morning huddle or a range briefing, and staff can still complete the deck on their own phones afterwards.

Our weekend staff don't have company email. Does that matter?

No. The staff roster lives in Stokk, so anyone on it can train, company email or not.

A demo on a working sample, then we map it to your ERP, your SKUs and your stores. Your own data comes in onboarding. You decide if it earns its place in your operating system.
