Coupons
A coupon is a one-time offer, such as 20% off one item or a gift with purchase, that customers keep in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Staff scan it at the till, and it can only be used once. Coupons live under Gift cards (/gift-cards/coupons) when your company has coupons and punch cards switched on.
Set one up
- Tap New coupon and pick what it gives: percent off, an amount off, a gift with purchase or something else. Stokk suggests the headline, for example 20% afsláttur; change it if you like.
- Choose how long each coupon lasts (for example 30 days from when it is given), and optionally when the offer starts and ends, and the most coupons to give out. For a "come back next week" coupon given with a purchase, set Opens after to 7 and Then lasts to 7: each customer's coupon works for a week, starting a week after they got it.
- Pick a design and the customer's language. The preview shows the coupon page and the Apple Wallet pass as you go.
Hand it out
- Public link and QR: switch it on for a poster, a social post or a newsletter. Tap Print a poster for an A4 sign with a large QR code. Scanning again on the same phone opens the same coupon, and the link slows down anyone claiming many at once. For a firm cap, set Stop after.
- At the till: staff tap Give a coupon on
/store/gift-cards and the customer scans the QR with their phone camera. - By email: open the coupon and use Send a coupon.
At the till
Scan the coupon like any card. Stokk shows the offer and tap Use the coupon. Then give the discount in your till as you always do. A coupon that was already used shows when, where and by whom. Made a mistake? Undo works for 15 minutes, and a manager can undo it later.
Pause or end
- Pause stops new coupons. Coupons already given out still work. Tap Resume to carry on.
- End stops everything: no new coupons, and coupons already given out can no longer be used. The same happens on the end date. Use it for a mistake, for example 90% instead of 9%.
- Moving the end date or the days a coupon lasts also moves the expiry of coupons already given out, also in customers' wallets.
Numbers that matter
Each coupon shows how many were given out, opened, saved to a phone wallet and used, so you can see what an offer really did.
