Every product should have a brand and one primary category. Reports, filters and pricing groups all lean on them. The AI fill looks at products that are missing either and proposes a value. Open it from Product attributes → AI fill brand and category.
For each product: the description, SKU, supplier, ERP group, the web shop vendor and title, the barcode, and any attributes it already has. It compares that with your own tags: the brands and categories you already use, a few example products for each, and how each supplier's products are usually tagged. It picks from your list whenever one fits and says how sure it is (high, medium or low).
Your existing tags aren't always right, so supplier patterns are treated as hints. A harness from a brand that mostly sells clothing is still proposed as a harness.
If you haven't tagged any categories, there is nothing to choose from. The AI then offers to read a sample of your catalogue and propose a category list. You rename, remove or add values and approve the list; only then does it tag products. You can also type the list yourself. Brands don't need a list: a brand is printed on the product, so the AI proposes new brands item by item for you to approve.
If the AI couldn't tell for some products (service lines like shipping or rent, for example), the screen says how many. After you approve new values you can let it try those again.
Around 07:30 each morning the AI looks at products created in the last two weeks that are still missing a brand or category. When it is very sure and the answer is a value you already use, it saves it straight away. Everything else, and any new value, waits on the AI fill screen for review. Up to 400 products per night; a big batch of new products drains over a few nights.
Values the morning job saved on its own are listed under Filled overnight. Mark them as checked, or change them. Values you or the bulk import set are never touched.
If you have a Range attribute (a scent family such as Shea, or a line such as Tea Tree), the AI fills that too. Many products have no range, like make-up brushes, so it leaves those blank.
A broad level such as Division (Body Care, Skincare, Makeup) doesn't need tagging at all. Each approved category can carry the division it belongs to, and every product that gets the category gets the division with it, whoever set the category. Ask us to set this up for your categories.
Stokk records which values came from the AI, whether a person accepted them, and how sure the AI was. When you edit a value yourself in Edit values, it becomes your value. See Product attributes for the attributes themselves.
