Membership cards
A membership card is a member card customers keep in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, for example a customer club with member prices. Its barcode is the member's number in your ERP (or their kennitala or mobile), so your own till scans it and finds the customer as before. Membership cards live under Wallet cards (/gift-cards/members) when your company has them switched on. They replace the old loyalty programmes.
Set one up
- Tap New membership card and name it, for example Vinaklúbbur. Add a short description if you like.
- Under Signing up, choose whether anyone can sign up with the link or QR, and whether you approve each sign-up. Add your own questions (answers are saved on the customer) and the wording of the marketing box.
- Under The barcode, pick what it carries: the customer number (recommended), kennitala or mobile, and QR or a bar code for older scanners.
How members join
- Sign-up link and QR: print the poster for the till or put the link on your website. Customers fill in their name, kennitala and email on their phone (mobile too, when it's the barcode). Each new member becomes a customer in your ERP.
- At the till: New member on
/store/gift-cards shows the sign-up QR. - By hand: Add a member on the membership card's page, or Give … card on a customer's page in Customers.
With approval on, sign-ups wait under Sign-ups waiting: approve to make the card and email it, or turn it down. Nobody gets two cards: signing up again sends the existing card to the email on file. How sign-ups from existing customers, and failed ones, are handled: Membership sign-ups.
At the till
Scan the card like any other, or type the member number. Stokk shows the member and whether the membership is live; give member prices in your till as usual.
Pause or end
Pause stops public sign-ups; members keep their cards, and you can still approve sign-ups and add members. End stops every member's card, also in their phone wallet. To cancel one card, open it and cancel it. Your own till still finds the customer by their number after a cancel or an end, so stop member prices there too if you need to.
