Most sign-ups need nothing from you: the customer fills in the form on their phone, becomes a customer in your ERP and gets their card. This page covers the rest. For setting up a membership card, see Membership cards.
Anyone can type a kennitala, so a sign-up never changes a customer you already have. If the email they type is the one on file, the card opens on their phone as usual. If it isn't, or there's no email on file, or their card was cancelled before, the sign-up waits for you with the reason and the customer it matched. Approving sends the card to the email on file (or, when there is none, to the email they typed). The customer sees the same thanks either way, so the form can't be used to find out who is a member. Sign-ups like these are emailed to your support address.
If your ERP can't be reached, an open sign-up is tried again every 15 minutes. If it still can't finish, it waits under Sign-ups waiting with the reason and Try again, and you get an email.
A card follows its customer record: when a name, number or email changes in your ERP or in Customers, the card in the phone updates within minutes. Changing what the barcode carries changes every member's barcode, so the editor asks you to confirm first.
