On the lock screen
Near a place you choose, the phone can bring a customer's wallet card up on the lock screen, so it's at hand at the till. This works for gift cards, coupons, punch cards and membership cards.
Where you set it
- Coupons and punch cards: the On the lock screen section when you edit the offer. Each offer has its own pins.
- Membership cards: the same section when you edit the membership card.
- Gift cards: On the lock screen in gift card settings. One set of pins for all gift cards.
Drop pins
- Tap the map to drop a pin, or search for an address and tap Add pin. Drag a pin to move it. Add your stores adds every store that has a place on the map.
- Give each pin a name staff recognise (customers never see it) and, if you like, its own lock-screen line, for example Kaffi og kaka í Kringlunni. A pin without a line uses the card's Lock-screen line, or a standard one.
- Save. Cards already in phone wallets update within minutes.
A card can have up to 10 pins, Apple's and Google's limit. A pop-up or an event is fine: pins don't need to be stores.
No pins
A card without pins uses your active stores that have a place on the map (up to 10). Set a store's place under Admin, Locations: type its address and tap Geocode, check the place with View, then save. See Locations. With no pins and no stores on the map, the card never comes up on its own.
The phone decides
Pins tell the phone where the card is useful; they don't send a notification. iPhone shows the card on the lock screen when someone is close to a pin, with your line, when it judges it helpful. Google Wallet on Android uses the same places but writes its own text, and only if the customer allows Wallet to use their location. Cards that are used, cancelled or ended never come up.
